Cool approach Lizz. I think you need to figure out a way to make these feel whole. I really like the way you've handled the line and the collage aspect of the figures. It seems very appropriate for your chinese theme. I like the one with the lanterns although I am unsure about the crowd. I love the guy with the fish thing on a stick, but it's unclear as to what she is doing with it. Maybe it'd be cool if someone were lifting her from the other side and she were mimicing the graceful movement of a fish (like shes on her side and being lifted at the hip and shoulder). The dragon one could show some windy dragon tail coming around somehow. Need a little more in the way of environment (just a little more indication). Really cool so far though!
the piece with the lanterns takes a really great aproach. you've created a really great environment with minimal detail. i'm not sure about the heads and shoulders around the bottom... they're not really working for me. i liked what daniel said about the dragon.
