These are the sketches. And I have been looking at the designer Alexander McQueen, for some Star Wars, space looking type clothes. His website doesn't allow me to steal his images. So I have found these videos of the collections I have been looking at.

I am still going to keep looking for better menswear....

16 candles

I watched 16 candles.... sorry for the crappily colored sketches. I'm not completely happy with the poses. The movie has a lot of close-up shots of the actor who plays jake ryan and molly ringwald. If someone has seen the movie and has a better idea for scenes to do, let me know.

Becca's Bladerunner sketches

Sketches for Blade Runner. I'm trying to narrow down the two scenes I'll use and the outfits to use in them. I found clothing with similar colors as the film uses (muted browns, greens, blues, greys and blacks with shocks of white) and now I need to pick the style that best fits the character - if anyone has seen the movie, feel free to pop in with an opinion.

accidentally posted twice when my internet crashed.

Emma's Amelie Sketches

Here's the Amelie sketches, I'm trying out that thicker looser line you we talked about, even though it's a bit scary..There were some other scenes I might be interested in using too if these are objectionable : ) The colors are super saturated in these weird green and red and sorts magenta filters throughout the film. I baught some new inks to try out, and I think I'll try to stick basically within that color grouping, to stick with the tone of the movie.

Lyse's Sketches

Here are my sketches for Pulp Fiction. I tried to go with slightly more modern suits because Jules and Vincent were already pretty suave in their outfits (and I didn't want to draw them in essentially the same thing). Also, I apologize if I misunderstood about whether we were supposed to literally draw the characters, or draw stand-ins with new outfits. Anyway, anything can be fixed since these are just sketches, I just wanted to throw my questions out there. =)

Hey Dan its India I tried to send you an email but i dont think that you got it. I need help posting my final and i would like to know what movie is left on the list so that i can post something on friday.
I dont know any other way to get in contact with you.

BULLITT

Hey everybody, my apologies for these being way late, but here they are. A whole lot of the shots in Bullitt are close ups, so it was a task finding good shots of people doing things that were important.
these pieces are copies of stills i made from the movie. A great deal of lighting was overhead, casting shadows over people's eyes and cheek bones. I hope to work with that more in the finals.

heres some of the clothing i will be working from.

Wait, what time is it?

Here are my sketches for Monday. These are the colors, these are the ideas. All I have left to do to take it to final is ink it and drop the colors into the finished linework.

Here are the clothes
This is a still from the movie; way better.

This is my second one. I think I may drop a different texture into the background on the final; I've been using this one a lot lately.

And of course, here are the clothes

And for the background extras

I'm just posting this last one so you know what it's about. I haven't gotten as far on it as I'd like, but I'll post a more finalized version soon.

There, that's all for now. I'll be back tonight with more.
Blogger has a really frustrating set up.

revisions

here are two of my updated sketches. After I did them, I think I will add some more hatching and use a thinner tip. Still going to add the text in on the final.

Updated Sketches

My apologies for these being a few hours later than planned - I honest to god couldn't find my scanner. (It was under my bed...)

Anyways, here are the sketches that include both models and backgrounds - first is in an ice cream parlor with gossiping girls, and second is in a girl's bedroom, doing girly things like reading magazines and painting nails. The color choices are still the same as in the initial background sketches.

Friday, 9:30 pm

Haven't seen what I need to from most of you. Especially bad for those of you who didn't show me much last class. Tsk tsk.
