I like this crazy guy, but I'm not seeing the fashion. I don't know if that's required for this or not, but I feel like he should be spiffed up in some way to make him more glamorous or something.
i like the use of your figure to make it look like its playing with the airplane. its cute! i know this is a sketch but i keep looking at her left arm and thinking that its an abnormally large mouth.
i wish this tied in with the assignment. This concept doesn't really follow the golden age of travel, and the only real allusion to travel is the tiny toy airplane.

I agree with Gant. I'd say you should continue to work in your natural style (cause it seems more energetic and fun). Can you make the figure a little more graceful and less monsterous? Try dressing the figure up like the sky a little more? Make the plane look more elegant and sleek. Maybe have more than one. Imagine her as the Neptune of the skies, ushering the plane safely to its destination.
