so here are my final drawings with new clothes and everything.

Revised: Saturday Night Fever

the re-do sketches... i'm going to keep the colors similar to the screen captures from the movie i posted below... and *sigh* no more punk disco. i took your advice, mr. Krall, and went to the dolce n' Gabbanna website and got some outfits from there. I'm going to have colored versions of these tonight. (i'll update this post instead of making a new one)

Saturday Night Fever

bahh ... didnt get as much work done on the sketches as i wanted to... i never got to see the movie (limewire is taking FOREVER to dL the movie, youtube only has clips of small parts of it, and a contusion to my knee kept me from leaving my apartment since thursday) ANYWAY. here are my ideas... i wanted to give it a sort of punk-y disco-y theme...

The Graduate

these are clothing sources: elaine's 'wedding dress', michael in suits, mrs. robinson - maybe add some detail to her stockings.


i had a hard time finding good scenes and poses to display clothing on bodies. although i love the movie, the actors were in bed/not clothed for half of it and a lot of shots were cropped at the waist or were close up head shots. in addition to the four scenes i chose, i thought the scene in the pool - just floating on blue water wearing shorts and sunglasses and holding a can of beer and the scene where michael is in the chapel pounding on the glass shouting 'elaine! elaine!' were pivotal scenes but not very good for drawing clothes on people. what do you think? should i still try to illustrate these scenes or should i just move ahead with two of the ones i've posted?

these are super rough and i'm hoping to fix them up a bit tonight/tomorow, i think i might throw out the guy and redo it entirely

These are the sketches of existing clothes and the 2 scenes I chose from ROSEMARY'S BABY. I also included current clothes I found that I feel would compliment the scenes I chose, I'm going for a retro-esque look and I want it all to feel sort of dark like the movie.

the Warriors

I just rented the movie from the MRC because it has been checked out but these are 4 of the gangs from the film. I think most of them will be easy to translate into modern fashions

This dress is for Fredo's skanky wife.

This is for the guy being strangled. Even his prettyness cannot save him now!
